Manufacturer: This backstamp was fun to research as you won’t find it in standard lists of major English potteries! “Rococo” wasn’t a standalone pottery company. It was a trade name used by a smaller English pottery or decorating firm, probably in Staffordshire. It falls into the category of 20th-century Staffordshire trade-name marks: smaller English potteries (often in Stoke-on-Trent) would manufacture blanks, then decorate them or sell them to independent decorating houses, who used their own backstamps. Perhaps this curiosity would delight an antique/vintage expert to investigate!
