Beautiful example of late 19th-century European porcelain, this antique decorative plate was produced by Moritz Zdekauer at the renowned Altrohlau porcelain works in Austria-Hungary (modern-day Czech Republic), dating from circa 1884 to 1909.
The piece features the beloved “Bridal Rose” pattern — soft pink rose garlands delicately hand-painted across a white porcelain ground, with graceful scalloped edges accented by hand-applied gold gilding. The fine detail and romantic styling are hallmarks of the Victorian to early Art Nouveau era.
Underglaze green backstamp with double-headed eagle and “M Z Austria”, used exclusively from 1884–1909 for export porcelain.
9" diameter from point to point.
Excellent antique condition. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs. Gilding and paint are intact and vibrant, with only minimal age-appropriate wear.
